The Bureau's newsletter, Pambu, has been in print since 1968. Pambu carries news of the Bureau's activities, microfilming projects, recent releases, fieldtrips, advertises books and presents articles by a wide range of people with an interest in the Pacific Islands region. Pambu has a distribution of around 550 copies in Australia and overseas.

The Bureau is particularly interested in articles about new sources of Pacific archives, manuscripts and records relating to church and missionary work, business, multinational corporations, labour, trade unions, political parties, constitutional developments, judiciaries, non-government organisations, government papers, ships' logs, linguistic material, genealogies, culture, gender issues, identity politics, sovereignty, governance, environmental change and conservation efforts, scientific reports, biodiversity, climate change, forestry and mining.

Please contact the Bureau if you are interested in writing an article (between 500 and 1000 words) for consideration.
